For the first time an infant neutron star has been been observed (blue dot in the centre of the image). The neutron star which is located in the “Cassiopeia A” supernova was photographed by the The Chandra X-ray Observatory. It is the latest stunning image to come from this telescope which has lasted twice as long as its original mission run of five years (via NASA’s Chandra X-ray Space Observatory images - Telegraph)
